3-7 hours / week or 7-15 hours / week
We request a minimum of two hours a week from our regular volunteers, but we can be flexible.

To ensure all fire, health and safety regulations are compliant and manage the charity premises based in the Rugby Central Shopping Centre, Rugby. Also to manage volunteer team who are in the centre to ensure the centre is well ran.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering excellent customer service to all stakeholders using our premises 
  • Managing the team of volunteers that are in, ensuring there is enough team for each job, they have correct supervision and lunch breaks
  • Handling customer complaints/ refunds in the shop/community café 
  • Being responsible for the day to day operation of the centre 
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to
  • Ensuring any maintenance tasks are completed or passed on to the right people.

You will be working with other volunteers in a customer service environment, and with our service users when they are in our centre.

What are we looking for?

  • As this is a customer relationship type role you need to be highly presentable and possess good communication skills 
  • Basic IT knowledge 
  • Volunteer management experience
  • The ability to prioritise tasks 
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Knowledge of Fire Safety
  • Certification or willingness to gain certification in basic First Aid
  • An interest in, and commitment to Shine A Light

What difference will you make?

Your skills will improve our day to day running, ensuring good health and safety, fire safety and general management. Your help will enable administrative team to focus on other aspects of running the charity. 

Before you apply

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to fill in an application form for our records. You will be invited to an induction day, where you will receive basic training and have an informal interview. This will be lead by our CEO and is an opportunity to find out more about what we do, and meet some of out team.
