Abbeyfield Hertfordshire Residential Care Society  (Friars Mead) We at Friars Mead are a Care Home for the elderly in Kings Langley Hertfordshire - we need your experience and enthusiasm.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for enthusiastic new Trustees to join our expanding team - it has been a challenging time with Covid19 but our care staff and management have worked tirelessly to keep our home virus free and safe and happy for our residents.

As things begin to gradually come back to normal we would like to increase the expertise within our board to develop facilities and opportunities within the home and look to succession planning for our board.

Particular experience and interest in Care, Legal issues and Business Administration would enable us to promote and take forward exciting developments.

Currently we have six  board members with varying experience and skills, we meet on a monthly basis (currently virtually) with members working on individual projects as appropriate, It is a worthwhile and satisfying position enabling members to utilise their knowledge whilst being part of a thriving, happy community.

What are we looking for?

We would like people with enthusiasm and drive to help further develop facilities and services to our resident community and beyond.

We are a happy team so someone with a sense of humour and commitment would fit in well.

Experience in  , Care ,Business Administration and Legal issues would enable us to become even more forward thinking and proactive.

What difference will you make?

We need your help to enable our board of Trustees to expand our knowledge and expertise to help us continue to be a leader in the increasingly important provision of quality care for the elderly in all aspects of the running of a highly regulated home.

What's in it for the volunteer?

You will be part of a friendly supportive team with the opportunity to make a real difference to our residents and staff.
