Fundraising Lead

We require a lead fundraiser to help us make the most of fundraising opportunities and implement our fundraising strategy.

What will you be doing?

We want an experienced and successful volunteer to lead and create innovative fund-raising activities to deliver a vital income stream for a small, local cancer charity. Recognising that traditional, in-person activities are not viable for the foreseeable future, we need someone with experience of the charity sector to develop creative fundraising ideas and encourage local individuals/organisations to fundraise on our behalf.

What are we looking for?

The talents you’ll need

  • Fundraising experience in the charity sector of both corporate and individual giving.
  • Experience of creating and implementing a fundraising plan which involves a wide range of audiences, stakeholders and influencers.
  • Enjoy networking and making connections to identify opportunities for raising money.
  • Able to inspire and motivate others to get involved.
  • A self-starter, able to work collaboratively across our virtual organisation.

What difference will you make?

This is a great opportunity for you to make a valuable contribution to supporting people living with cancer.

You will be helping people in Huntingdonshire that need our support to enjoy the benefits of our programmes and services

What's in it for the volunteer?

  • A case study for your portfolio.
  • You’ll gain experience of working in the charitable sector.
  • You’ll learn new skills or apply already learned ones.
  • You’ll meet new people and be part of a community.
  • You'll get a lot of satisfaction knowing you play a vital role in enabling us to inform, educate and raise money to fund vital services in the areas of exercise, nutrition and emotional well-being.
  • You’ll enjoy a collaborative environment and contribute to a dynamic team
