Your input will sustain and build a thriving local community based in a safe, inclusive, kind and fun environment.
As part of a small team of Organisers, you will help volunteers and customers to grow anddevelop; inspire activism and contributions from others.
By these means you will see the community help each other through life, and become more reslient to challenge and change. You will promote social justice, reduce social isolation and promote wellbeing.
We would suggest that potential applicants come to the cafe as a customer, as the first step. The cafe is open every Saturday, from 12:00 midday until 4:00pm. It is quieter near the end, if you want to talk to us; conversely it is busy at the start if you want to get a feel for what that is like.
All volunteers receive a short induction, usually via Zoom or similar, once a commitment is made.
We ask you to have, or be prepared to obtain, an Enhanced DBS for the Adults and Children's workforce. We will help you obtain this if necessary.
We will assist you to obtain training in food hygiene, also First Aid / Mental Health First Aid - ifneeded.
