Wiltshire Savings and Loans (Credit Union) is looking for an Business Development Manager to join our existing business development team.
The business development manager will work as part of the existing business development team. The main purpose is for the development of partnerships with various organisations around the county in order to promote the credit union and its activities, in order to widen the membership. The organisations we work with include:
- housing associations and local councils. We work through housing officers to bring awareness of the products and facilities we offer to tenants and members of the public
- local employers. We run a save as you earn scheme which encourages employees to save money on a monthly basis. We can then offer low-cost loans to them when necessary
- citizens advice and debt advice agencies
We are now looking to use part of our Swindon Office (in the Parks area) as an outreach centre, offering education and help to people on family budgeting and money-saving techniques.
We are looking for people who understand the role of credit unions in communities, and the way they can help people and families who face financial hardships. This is a small organisation run by volunteers. You may have expertise in one or more of the following:
This will be an opportunity for a volunteer to contribute to an important community organisation which serves many people in Wiltshire who suffer from financial exclusion.
Volunteers will be working with people who face regular financial hardship and need help in organising their budgets. It is a chance for them to help people and families at their point of need.
