We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences, but we’re especially keen to hear from people with experience of fundraising and charity operations, as well as HR, working with volunteers, access and inclusion, and improving or developing websites.
Bristol Improv Theatre has recently become a registered charity (charity number: 1207613). We are now looking to develop our board of Trustees as we look to develop a sustainable business model, and carry out our charitable mission - ‘to advance the arts for the public benefit, through the promotion of improvisational theatre’.
The Bristol Improv Theatre is the UK’s first full-time dedicated improv theatre. We create, teach and perform spontaneous theatre that is accessible, creatively ambitious and unapologetically entertaining, as well as hosting troupes from all over the UK and overseas, bringing world-class improv to Bristol. Our venue in Clifton is a home for Bristol’s amazing improv community.
With the Board of Trustees’ help we intend to safeguard the future of the venue and develop a sustainable business model. Our primary goals are to:
