The Brand Guidelines Volunteer is a project responsible for supporting the charity in maintaining brand consistency across all communication channels and materials and creating our new brand guidelines. 

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities:

Creating Brand Guidelines: Assist in developing the charity’s brand guidelines to make sure they reflect the charity’s new mission, values, and audience as part of our 3 year strategy.

Design Support: Help design and create specialist materials and resources to help enhance and expand our support service offering, ensuring they align with the established brand guidelines.

Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to other staff members and volunteers on how to correctly apply the brand guidelines across different platforms and channels (e.g., social media, print, digital).

Monitoring Branding Across Platforms: Regularly check and review materials produced to ensure branding consistency, whether for social media, websites, newsletters, or campaigns.

Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with the marketing, communications, and fundraising teams to ensure brand guidelines are being followed in all campaigns and outreach efforts.

Updating Templates: Create and maintain a library of branded templates for various uses, such as presentations, email headers, reports, and social media posts.

What are we looking for?

Desired Skills and Qualities:

  • Attention to Detail: Ensures even the smallest elements of the brand are correctly used.
  • Graphic Design Experience: Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva.
  • Understanding of Branding: A strong understanding of how to maintain and communicate a brand identity.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain branding rules and guidelines to others in a clear and helpful manner.
  • Collaboration: Willingness to work with different teams, providing feedback and assistance where needed.
  • Creativity: Able to offer suggestions for visually appealing and impactful designs within the brand framework.

What difference will you make?

This individual will ensure that the charity’s visual and verbal identity is cohesive and in line with its mission, launching in October as part of a new 3 year strategy, helping to increase recognition and trust among supporters, donors, and the broader community.
