We need volunteers with expertise in Marketing and Communications to help us maximise awareness and recognition of our charity locally and generate income through reaching new audiences.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person, with a background in marketing and communications, who could devote their time to volunteer as a trustee for our RSPCA Canterbury & District branch and support us in boosting the outward focused lens of our charity.
Alongside passing on your expertise, this opportunity will give you the chance to influence how we care for and prevent cruelty to animals and drive the implementation of key initiatives. You will serve on the governing body of the charity and be instrumental, alongside fellow trustees, in the running of the Branch and setting out both the short and long term aims.
Primary responsibilities of the Branch Trustee – Marketing and Communications
Core Branch Trustee responsibilities
We are committed to creating a Board which is representative of our society and in particular, our community and surrounding areas so encourage people from any background to apply for any of our opportunities. To enhance the diversity of our board we would very much like to hear from ethnic minorities, disabled people and marginalised groups.
Alongside marketing and/or communication and social media experience, an interest in PR, external affairs or developing original content to help increase awareness of the Branch activities and events would be welcomed but is not essential for the role.
You will need to be able to work with people and have good interpersonal skills. You do not need to be an expert although commitment, common sense, and the ability to be objective are vital.
