We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to help manage our financial records.This role is vital in ensuring our financial health and compliance, allowing us to continue providing valuable services to the children we support.

What will you be doing?

Financial Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate financial records for all transactions, including receipts, invoices, and payments.
  • Update and reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash.
  • Record and categorize expenses and income in accounting software. 

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial reports for review by the Charity Administrator or Finance Committee.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements for annual reports and grant applications.
  • Provide financial summaries and forecasts for budgeting and planning purposes. 

Invoice Management

  • Process and manage invoices from suppliers and service providers.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable.

 

Administrative Support

  • Provide support for financial documentation and record-keeping for internal and external reviews.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial documentation for board meetings and reports.

What are we looking for?

Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
