Seeking an experienced bid writer to support a non-profit football club in securing grants. Help us empower low-income youth by improving access to sports, fostering community, and breaking down barriers in grassroots football

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a passionate and skilled bid writer to support Maestro & Hunter FC in securing funding through grant applications. As a non-profit football club, we are dedicated to making football accessible to young people from low-income backgrounds, helping them develop teamwork, resilience, and life skills.

The key deliverable for this role is the completion of successful grant applications that will enable us to expand our programs, maintain affordable access, and improve facilities for our players. The volunteer will work closely with our club’s leadership team, who can provide detailed insights into our needs, mission, and current projects.

There is some flexibility in this role, allowing the volunteer to shape their contributions based on their expertise and ideas. Whether you’re experienced in funding applications or want to apply your writing skills for a good cause, your efforts will make a tangible impact in the lives of young people through the power of sport.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a skilled bid writer with experience in securing grants, particularly for non-profits or community organizations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in bid writing: Strong track record in successfully completing grant applications for charitable or community initiatives.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills: Able to convey our mission and project goals persuasively to potential funders.
  • Attention to detail: Familiar with the intricacies of grant requirements, ensuring all applications are thorough, accurate, and compliant with funder guidelines.
  • Knowledge of the sports or youth sector (preferred): An understanding of issues related to community sports or youth development would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Self-motivated and organized: Capable of working independently to meet deadlines and manage application processes effectively.

Join us in making a difference for young people from low-income backgrounds, enhancing their access to football and personal development through sport.

What difference will you make?

Your expertise will directly enable Maestro & Hunter FC to continue providing accessible football opportunities to youth from low-income backgrounds. By helping us secure funding, you’ll support our mission to break down barriers to sports, offering young people a safe space to grow, connect, and build essential life skills through football. Your contributions will make a lasting impact on the futures of countless young athletes, fostering community, resilience, and hope at a critical time for many families
