Remote opportunity, or mainly at home.
Travel limit? We'd prefer someone local to have local knowledge etc. but not a must. Travel expenses will be paid.

Time

3-7 hours / week or 7-15 hours / week

We are seeking a Bid Writer Officer with previous experience, to assist with fundraising efforts by communicating with funders, writing grants and bid applications, establishing new partnerships, or promoting the work of Light Foundations.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

  • Search funders, create the database, and bid/grant applications.
  • Approaching corporate and local businesses for sponsorship or donations.
  • Establishing partnerships with housing associations and other providers.
  • Arrange monthly fundraising activities, project reports, and meetings.
  • Support the Director to explore new funding opportunities.
  • Work with others in areas of fundraising.

What are we looking for?

  • A professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Good attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Research skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Planning, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work as a team and unsupervised.
