Opportunity description

We're looking for someone experienced with Azure to help us implement it and migrate a charity CRM database to the Azure cloud from a remote server. We will also need some ongoing support after initial setup.

The role

  • We have a charity CRM database running from a remote MS server. It is built and underpinned by Microsoft .Net Technology with an SQL data back-end.
  • The server costs have recently increased and we often experience issues with RAM.
  • Through the Microsoft donation programme, we have $5000 sponsorship for Azure. I'd like to migrate the CRM to the Azure platform. We use MS software for all other activities.
  • We have no IT personnel but the CRM supplier will support the migration.
  • We also want to use Azure as a server for shared files. We have One Drive but it's not practical for long-term storage.

Required skills

  • Database
  • Network and/or system management

Person description

Vital: Experience in MS Azure and database implementation.

What impact the opportunity will have

We will save up to £1000 in annual server costs, plus have access to a server for shared files.

What’s in it for the volunteer?

It's an opportunity to help a small charity that is attempting to be IT-efficient and effective.

Time commitment

Either in or out of office hours

Unsure of time needed initially and for longer-term volunteering support. Will assume this can be scoped during initial discussions.

Other details

The project would be remotely run. We don't have an office.
