Renaissance Foundation is looking for a volunteer Financial Advisor! If you have experience in Finance and would like to become a volunteer Advisor to this impactful, growing charity, please apply to this role.

What will you be doing?

The role of Financial Advisor will involve some regular and some more flexible time commitments, providing ad-hoc and project-based support to RF and presenting to the Board as relevant. This is a volunteer role; candidates must be based in / have a right to work in the UK.

The charity does not have a finance lead within the team, but is currently supported by a volunteer experienced accountant, who maintains a GL, produces monthly accounts and statutory accounts. 

This role will: 

Lead on management accounts, forecasts and financial information Improve visibility of costs across different elements of the programme Improve the efficiency of processes for recording programme costs and team expenses Produce budgets and long-term financial plans Lead on statutory accounts Work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of financial controls

What are we looking for?

A qualified accountant, with experience of insightful management information, and ideally experience of process improvement, automation and digitalisation. With no in-house financial resource, the role requires a willingness to gets one’s hands dirty.
