Working with Trustees and the office and retail staff, develop a Social Media communications schedule, including content for our members, fundraising appeals, and other information from our organisation.
Develop content for Social media posts (specifically for our local website, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
Identify opportunities to increase our reach, influence and fundraising or campaigning initiatives by helping to create engaging and relevant content, including text, images, and short videos.
Able to edit and re-size images and videos for different platforms.
Support in monitoring social media performance to optimise our content and grow engagement with our online audience.
Support general administration duties. Emails, letters and newsletter.
Experience managing Social Media for small Charity/Not-for-profit organisations, planning, implementing and evaluating effective social media campaigns
Strong understanding of social media platforms, and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to produce compelling and engaging content.
Creative mindset with an eye for design and visually appealing content.
Proficiency in editing images and video clips for social media channels, and knowledge of best formats, aspect ratios and lengths of content for each platform/channel.
Writing and developing marketing content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, BlueSky
Building strategies to increase social media following
Building fundraising and awareness campaigns
Experience in website design and updates - WordPress
Working as an Admin and Social Media Officer for Pennu Charity UK will have a significant and multifaceted impact on both our organisation and the community we serve.
As an admin officer, you will ensure efficient day-to-day operations, such as managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate records. This supports the charity’s smooth functioning and goal achievement.
By managing the charity's social media channels, you help boost online visibility, expand audience reach, and engage with potential donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries. Creating impactful content will also help share success stories and raise awareness about the charity’s mission.
Promoting campaigns on social media can lead to increased donations and partnerships, directly impacting the charity’s ability to deliver its programs.
