Accountant/Bookkeeper needed to help long established charity that provides hands-on training in kidney transplantation for surgeons, doctors and nurses in countries across the world

What will you be doing?

Transplant Links provides hands-on training in kidney transplantation for surgeons, doctors and nurses in countries across the world, to help patients with kidney failure have access to this life-saving treatement. Through this transfer of skills, TLC saves the lives of children and adults who suffer from life-threatening end-stage kidney disease, and many more who will benefit from the transfer of skills in the future. This training is delivered in the form of hands-on surgical and medical assistance (in situ), delivering lectures and training seminars in the hospitals, providing ongoing long-term support and assistance in developing the infrastructure needed to coordinate a transplant programme, long-distance online learning in the form of videos, presentations, podcasts and online seminars and the development of written materials. We work with partner centres over several years to support them to develop a sustainable ethical transplant programme.

We are looking for an accountant, experienced in using Quickbooks to take over the running of our day to day accounting needs. The role will report to the CEO of the charity with a dotted line to our Treasurer. The  successful applicant will also work with the Accountants who prepare our statutory accounts.

The role can be performed from anywhere in the UK.

What are we looking for?

A qualified accountant or qualified book keeper experienced in generating income statement, balance sheet and cashflow. Able to operate on own inititiative.

What difference will you make?

Accurate and timely management information is required to help run any organisation and TLC is no different. You will be a key player in helping the Trustees understand the current and projected financial position of the organisation.
