Minimum 20 hours a month . We would require a minimum 6 month commitment but see this as an on-going role.

Action West London is a well established charity. Our Mission is 'changing lives through Employment, Education and Enterprise’. We need an experienced organiser  to help lead our 21st Anniversary fundraising campaign. 

What will you be doing?

Background: A background in any of the following areas –Trust funding; donors; philanthropy, crowd funding, company partnerships; digital fundraising, capital campaigns , income generation, Marketing/PR; high net worth networking; corporate social responsibility .

Role Summary

  • To work with Trustees, the  Chief Executive  and senior staff to further develop and implement our funding strategy and action plan 
  • To contribute to our 20th Anniversary fundraising strategy 
  • To lead and co-ordinate a Fundraising sub group
  • To build links with companies and businesses in West London to secure resources to help the charity  
  • To build links with Trusts and Foundations and submit funding bids
  • To develop a donation strategy and action plan
  • To develop links with philanthropists to support the charity's work  
  • To develop contacts with businesses and companies to assist fundraising and Income generation. 
  • To Network on behalf of the charity to solicit sponsorship, funds and resources on a peer to peer basis.
  • To be an active champion of the organisation.

What difference will you make?

Action West London has a good reputation for delivering Employment, Education and Enterprise support to disadvantaged adults and young people.

We generate income through delivering payment by results contracts, Trust funding and social enterprise e.g. we run a Street market 4 days a week and generate income from business start up premises).

We need the extra support that a REACH pro bono/ volunteer undertaking this role can deliver. This would make a major impact on the charity's ability to deliver its services to many more disadvantaged individuals.

Funds and resources and/or premises secured through the 21st Anniversary campaign will help enable us to sustain the charity's important work for another 21 years
