1927 is a small but mighty National Portfolio Organisation. From creating animated theatre, opera, and radio, delivering workshops in schools and prisons, making a video for Ozzy Osbourne, and content for AMC's Interview with the Vampire.
1927 has a dedicated board of trustees who cover a spectrum of different skill sets and we are looking to expand this.
We're particularly keen to hear from people with experience in Fundraising, Commercial IP, the Criminal Justice system and the Arts - in particular those with experience of working with families and in rehabilitation. We're also keen to hear from potential Kent based Trustees.
1927 is very keen to broaden the diversity of its board. We value the differences that people bring from all backgrounds, communities and experiences to support the work of the company and its future development.
Trustees are required to attend four board meetings (which are usually held in London on a Thursday evening) and one away day a year and will also be expected to contribute on an ad hoc basis, though this would not normally be a burdensome time commitment.

1927’s trustees play a vital role in shaping the company’s future, offering strategic guidance and ensuring our continued success. By bringing together diverse perspectives and skill sets, our Trustees help us to build a more resilient, inclusive and forward-thinking organisation that can thrive creatively and sustainably.
Please provide a short statement (not more than a page!) outlining your key skills and experience and how you think this would be of benefit to 1927 before 8 April 2025.
