Volunteering in the not-for-profit sector is incredibly rewarding. You can put your previous work experience and hard-earned skills to good use, make a difference in our communities, build new relationships, learn new things and have the opportunity to extend your existing skills.

There are 180,000 registered charities to choose from as well as many other smaller organisations providing grassroots services. You can also get involved in public sector organisations and become a school governor, an unpaid magistrate or volunteer with a hospital patients' association.
