I didn't receive my validation email. What should I do?

When you register on our site, you are asked to confirm your email address by clicking a link in an email we send you. You should receive this email instantly, but it can sometimes take up to 15 minutes.

The most common reasons for not receiving the email are:

  • Your email thought we were junk! Please check your spam folder.
  • You've made a mistake when entering your email address. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. The most common mistake we see is using the wrong domain name - for instance myname@myorg.com instead of myname@myorg.org.uk. But fat fingers have a lot to answer for too!

You could check if you have used the wrong email address by hitting the back button on your broswer. If you've just completed the form, sometimes the information is still there.

Alternatively, complete the form again. If your email address was correct before, you won't be able to register with it again.

If it wasn't one of those issues, it could be that your server is blocking us before we even get to your account.

Please try adding these address to your contacts so that your email knows we are safe addresses.

You'll need to regenerate the confirmation email at this point. The easiest way it to enter your email address in the forgotten password form and click “reset password”. Not this will say you are resetting your password, but it works for confirming your email address as well.

If this doesn't work, get in touch with use at help@reachvolunteering.org.uk. We can check our logs to make sure everything is looking okay on our end. If it is, you may need at that point, to consider raising it with your systems administrator or using a different email address. We appreciate you sticking with us!
